Cole and bass player Todd Smallie too . My brother sold his house, quit his job, and completely changed his way of living once I turned him on to Brighter Days ! He even changed his look from looking like peter Frampton to looking like JJ. He just sent me this after he was at the OL` Miss game this past weekend. We all LOVE JJ and the rest of the band ! First pic is my brother Karl 2nd is JJ with my green lazer beam in his eye(he sent people to get me too ) 3rd is Greyhounds band Have a Great Night Rick !

I hope so too.....he does push it to the limits ! Todd and A.C. are usually hangin` out and love to talk ! Is Art still on sax ? Someone had replaced him during part of this summer`s gigs........ I`ve never checked back to see if he returned or not. I`ve seen JJ Grey & Mofro 3 times.....1 time in Pittsburgh, 1 time in State College and 1 time we saw them and the Greyhounds in Johnstown.......all in Pennsylvania. I`ll see them more in the future !

We "discovered" them some years ago. Fabulous stuff! We listened to the Lochloosa album and were sold. One of my favourite JJ songs: Georgia Warhorse.

Just lookin` in for a report Rick.
No youtubes up yet, but it looks like Art did not return on sax. Some new guy playin` now.
Hope JJ didn`t strip out his vocal cords again.
Off to hunting camp later for 3 days of woodcutting, in preparation of winter.

Show was awesome and good crowd. The London Souls opened and were impressive. New alto sax player fit right in w/ Mofro. JJ's voice was back last night as he said the 2 previously nights cancelled shows was due to 14 yrs on the road had worn him out...very appreciative to his fans for coming out to his show as always.

This was the teaser article for last night's opener. Heavier than JJ's style, but the crowd including myself got into them.
The London Souls’ unique reinterpretation of classic hard-hitting rock and roll formulae recalls elements of the past with an ever-present boundless energy, fit to cement their place in the future. Tash and Chris have been nothing short of a best-kept secret among New York City concertgoers since the bands formation in 2008, building a fervent and dynamic fan base leveraged by their ever sustained reputation for consistently well-rehearsed and impassioned, explosive live performances. The band’s celebrated sound and spirit draws significant influence from the driving force of British rock pioneers Cream and Led Zeppelin to billowing and bouncing funk and soul, to the layered harmonies and memorable hooks of The Beatles and The Hollies, to the contemporary psychedelia of My Morning Jacket among many more

Thanks for the update Rick.
London Souls are a band I`ve been wanting to see. They`ve opened some shows for Gov`t Mule and last year(or was that the year before) they opened for Tedeschi Trucks Band who opened for The Black Crowes. I had tickets for that show, but was not able to go because of bad physical condition at that time, from old injuries. Anyhow.....my wife, son and his girlfriend thought they were very good as well as TTB and BC. Power trios never get old.
Love these Jam In The Van videos of Bands I love !
