By 1994 he had picked up weight and slowed down as far as movement was concerned but still had fire in his playing! I was listening to him when he was in Taste. I special ordered his records from a little shop in Keene NH when I was in college in 72. Still love him. A few years ago it was hard to find much of him on YouTube. I am glad to see so much Rory on there now! youtu.be/y8BNU8by4vM

Rory`s brother Donal never liked there being so much on youtube about Rory. He thought it was giving it all away. His son Daniel, however, believes it`s better because it draws new listeners to Rory`s music. So we can all thank Daniel for getting his father to allow all that footage and not fight it being there anymore.........As far as I see, it just brings more people to the table everytime they put out a new packaging of an old product. I don`t buy all the re-releases myself, because I have the original vinyls. I do buy the new releases that had not been previously done like Notes From San Francisco, The Beat Club Sessions, Live At Montreux etc. Good to see others who enjoy Rory`s music on here !
I only got to see Rory once play live. This was the song, and the lineup, that set the hook in me:
R.K.

Yes, I was lucky enough to see Rory one time on Feb 12, 1976 in Pittsburgh opening for Foghat.
I never even knew of Taste until I got a computer about 2003 to 2005.
I see that you not only knew who they were, but was buying their vinyl back in the day !
You are the first American who has ever shown me that they were aware of Taste in that time period. So you`ve got me beat by a "Country Mile" on that one !
Sometimes Rory had a hard time keeping his strat in tune.................................................
Hard to imagine that out of these 4 only Gerry McAvoy, the bass player, is still alive.
