It's 3 weeks from today when I get to see Joe Satriani perform again with his solo tour. Already excited beyond words, I absolutely love his music and his artistry. It's been 6 years since he toured here with his solo show so it's been a looooooooooong wait. Joe was the reason I found out about Davy. When Davy supported Chickenfoot, lots of Satch fans and Redheads kept telling me the support act was amazing and I had to check him out. Now Davy and Joe are my two favourite artists. So I am spinning Joe's entire discography - earlier this year he published a remastered version of all his studio works (on usb inside a chrome replica of his head, only Joe would do that), and building up to the shows. Last year I met him for 6.5 seconds for a photo when he came out and did a guitar master class. I lost my composure and hugged him (poor guy!) and it looked like a head lock in the video my hubs took. This time I took up the meet and greet option so I hopefully get 20 seconds or so to say hi. And I am praying for the backstage pass he gives away before each show. If Davy and Joe worked together or played on the same bill that would be the ultimate

Joe is such a kind, lovely man. A total role model. No ego, just an exceptional musician, and a humble human being. He (and the whole of Chickenfoot, band and crew) were so supportive and encouraging. If Joe is up for it, we shall work together again, that's for sure!
It's lovely when your heroes turn out to be good people!

He (and the whole of Chickenfoot, band and crew) were so supportive I saw that Chad Smith even helped you play the guitar.

Chad only knew how to do something in 'E'. He saw the tune we were playing was using lot's of E's (i think it was messing with the kid) so he ran on and just played E over and over! Was very funny!
