Now on to.......Doyle Bramhall II>>>> Dalton and I have both been into, and wanting to see Doyle for many years now(many more for me as Dalton was just born when Arc Angels were conceived). We were both happy to see Anthony(A.C.) Cole on drums, and he did one song on sax too. We had enjoyed seeing A.C. with JJ Grey & Mofro and with Greyhounds. Doyle`s guitar connection was popping and cracklin` off and on the whole set, but he forged on, even with that and the rain and the sparse crowd at this fist off event. By the time they ended there were less than 50 of us left in front of the stage. We are constantly amazed at what great musicians are not known by the masses of people who think they are in the know ! I was first in line to buy his picture, meet him, shake his hand, and tell him how long I`d been waiting to catch him live. Here`s a song they played for us when it started raining last night(this one`s from a month ago)

My wife and I drove 230 miles to Sellersville Pa. to go to 2 night`s shows this past week Wednesday night we saw Stolen Rhodes open for Whitford St. Holmes. Stolen Rhodes is a kind of Country Rock sounding band outta the Philidelphia/New Jersey area. I liked them a lot and bought their new album and met them after the show. Their guitarist was happy to tell me that he had been doin` some stuff with Brad Whitford`s son Graham. I think he was surprised that I already knew some about Graham and his family and music My pictures of the band are terrible, but here is a video of them from another show to show you their style: Here`s a bit more on them: stolenrhodes.com/Here they are with Derek and Brad at our show Wednesday night: www.facebook.com/StolenRhodes/Here`s a few pictures from the outside of the venue:

Whitford/St.Holmes was our main reason for the 2 day venture to Sellersville. With them both being neighbors of my brothers, and 2 guys I`ve seen at the local hangout when I`ve been down. They put on a great performance of songs from both of their albums as well as songs they`ve done with their other bands>>>>>Aerosmith and Ted Nugent Band. Chopper Anderson, on bass, is a good friend of my brother and the drummer Brent Fitz was Slash`s drummer and Buck johnson, of Aerosmith on keyboards fills out the lineup. Brad and Derek both have excellent tone and blend and feed off of each other brilliantly !!!! Brad and Derek both came out and signed the new CD for those of us who purchased it there. It was a $15 item with both the new CD(Reunion), and their original CD from 1981............A Great Deal !.......and then to have it signed......priceless. Here`s the only video up from our show: Here they are at another show doin` their medley of Nugent/Aerosmth songs: Great to see both Brad and Derek front and center, rather than backing Joe and Ted !!!!!!!!! These 2 compliment each other fully.

What a F`n Awesome Anders Osborne show we had last night !!!!!!! We actually saw 4 bands: Flowerchild Chrome Moses Marc Brossard Anders Osborne Band But Anders Osborne, Carl Dufrene, Eric McFadden and Eric Bolovar are who we drove 85 miles to see. This less than 3 minute clip sums up the whole gig in a nice little bow: Here`s pics of my wife and I in our new shirts we bought last night and the new Flowerbox CD I bought and the other AOB signed and the 2 Eric McFadden CDs that he signed. Talked with Eric for about 15 minutes after the show. Great Night...............more to follow.

Here`s a couple pictures of the band and Eric McFadden`s set list that he gave me last night. Last night was Eric Bolivar`s 2nd night back out on the road after being pretty much off the road the past few years after battling kidney problems which led to a kidney transplant. We wish him well as he returns to what he loves AND excels at. He was having a great time watching and listening and playing as he catches up on all the new music that Anders has added to the arsenal !

We went and saw John Mayall tonight. I first got into John`s music when I was 16 in 1972 and bought his new(then) vinyl, Jazz Blues Fusion........and that got me started into his music. When we entered the venue I walked to the merch table to see what was offered and there was John all by himself selling and signing his last 2 CDs. I bought his last year`s release called Find A Way To Care which also has the same rhythm section as we saw tonight: Greg RZab on bass and Jay Davenport on drums, and then had John sign it. It was the first time I ever found the main artist selling his wares before the show alone. He is a class act. He has recently cut off his hair too, which took me by surprise. They were having major equiptment troubles. and it delayed the start by about 20 minutes, but everyone was on stage joking around and Greg kept telling drummer jokes and Jay kept the thing goin`.........Great Fun and then the music started and it was good. I took my first video tonight, but haven`t a clue how to bring it on home to you, but here`s a few pictures. It was great to see John Mayall after nearly 45 years of enjoying his music. Even in his early 80s he`s got more energy than most artists that we see ! I hope hehas more years doin` what he loves and does so well !!
