Brad and Derek have been hangin` and playin` just outside Nashville for months now. They have been working on their second album for a while now and they are making the news official: paradiseartists.com/artists/whitford_stholmes/index.htmlThey had first teamed up in the 1980s for an album when Aerosmith went on hiatus and Derek had left the Ted Nugent Band. Chopper, the bassman, and my brother are good friends and he also does work with Heavydrunk and other Nashville, and surrounding area. artists. Keep an eye out for them in the next year as they release their album and tour in support of it. Here they(Derek, Brad and Chopper) are at Pucketts, my brother`s local hangout: some things........including them both being early PRS users and supporters. So they`ve been workin` towards it for a while now................ THIS will be their OFFICIAL SITE, once it`s up and running: www.whitfordstholmes.com/

My brother and I were talking over the weekend.......trying to figure which city we are going to meet up in for a Whitford/St. Holmes show. So far I`m leaning towards the outside Chicago one. Karl was talking to Chopper about it, and nearly as soon as they are getting started, Brad has Aerosmith commitments the first of the year........I think internationally. But the guys are anxious to get out on the road and show us what they still got !

After selling tens of millions of records around the world with Aerosmith and Ted Nugent, Brad Whitford and Derek St. Holmes have reunited for their second record and world tour. Whitford/St.Holmes self titled debut received strong radio play and as well as critical reviews followed by a very successful run of US dates. However, shortly after its release their respective camps reunited and those schedules simply did not allow for a follow up…until now!
The newly reunited line up also features drummer Troy Luccketta from Tesla and Nashville A-lister, bassist Chopper Anderson. The bands second release is slated for early 2016 with a new single arriving this Fall. Look for Whitford/St.Holmes tour dates to be announced in June!
As Brad and Derek put it, “ We are so excited for this record and we absolutely cannot wait to get out there and share it with all of our fans….check that, “FRIENDS!”

That will be a good jam for sure. Brad's son Graham Whitford is a kick ass player with Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown based in Nashville for the past 5 or so yrs.

Thanks for the heads up on Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown................
I saw where Brad`s other son Harrison plays near Nashville and he and Brad sat near us at open mic the one night, but had not known about Graham or the band he plays in. My son is headed to Nashville area next week and I was clueing him in on a few places to go and hear some local live music. He might get to hear Harrison at Pucketts..........anyhow.......I was sitting here listening to music by Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown. I just ordered 1 CD and 1 Vinyl.
I really like the music !

He met this blues man when he was 11 and said his life changed. This is a tribute to Roosevelt Twitty. He has been rockin' the last few years but with blues roots.

A few weeks back I went to Leipers Fork Tn. to visit my brother and do some LIVE Music ! While there I visited Finds In The Fork which is less than 2 blocks from my brothers house. It is run by Karen Whitford, who was married to Brad Whitford of Aerosmith and Whitford/St. Holmes. Her and her boyfriend Scott Sheets run it and sell used vinyl and more: www.findsinthefork.com/www.instagram.com/findsintheforktn/I talked more to Scott than Karen. Scott was a guitarist for Pat Benatar for most of her career(She married her other guitarist). I bought a used Pat Benatar album and he graciously signed it for me, and then directed my attention to a Ted Nugent autographed album which they got from Derek St. Holmes, who was Ted`s voice and second guitarist for years. I also talked to Scott about the fact that Karen`s son Graham and his band......Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown......were just signed to open for AC/DC on the upcoming U.S. tour. They were happy and excited for him. I learned when I returned home that Brian Johnson`s hearing problems put the tour on hold, and now wonder if Graham and bandmates will still get that opportunity. I hope so ! My brother bought me their newest CD. I now have 3 releases by Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown. Scott and I talked about the current bands and musicians that I follow. I got the chance to lead him to some music he was not familiar with. When I asked him if he was familiar with Davy Knowles, he smiled and replied that he was and that Karen and Brad`s son`s Graham and Harrison were friends with Davy.............COOL ! Later that night we were all together again at Derek St. Holmes wedding reception at Pucketts where Derek and about 12 to 15 of his musical friends played for us for about 90 minutes. Derek`s friends invited locals(as well as guests) to help fill up the reception, and I was a LUCKY GUEST !!! If you ever get to Leiper`s Fork, check out their store.....FINDS AT THE FORK......and Pucketts, less than a block away, where you can hear anything from local talent to international musicians. I also had the pleasure of standing next to Mike Wolf and his 1952 Vincent and having him tell us all about it and then ham it up for visitors while they took his picture on the bike. That same day Tony Joe White the original Swamp Rocker, stepped out in front of me as he left Pucketts headed across the street.
