Most of you folks that have been around for awhile know me. I met Davy in June of 07, and I have been
stunned ever since. Fortunately, I live in Chicago (where Davy currently has rooted himself with his lovely Amber and her family) and I
have had the opportunity to see him quite a bit; of course, there was travel involved as well...........through several Midwest states.
I've often wondered what Davy thought of me; I was always the old guy up front and about three feet from his mic and rig. I imagine it
was tongue in cheek for both of us. Twenty five concerts and still going! I love this kid!! Amazing talent and kind soul. Peace and cheers!

Hey David! Great to see you on here! Thanks, as always, for your support! 25 shows? Not sick of me yet!?!?!

Good Lord, Davy.............no I am not sick of you! Are you kidding me?! You inspire me to no end. I'm sixty five, but I want to be you when I grow up! You know my story; I practiced guitar with Tom Petty and Don Felder back in Gainesville, Florida in the early sixties. Then my father took the guitar away from me in 1964 when the Beatles played the Ed Sullivan Show. I haven't picked it up since. But you, you take me to the place I felt when I was a kid.........you wake up that youngster in me. When you are playing I can go back fifty plus years and tap into the place where the youthful spirit lies, where there is nothing but full-on life! No one else does that for me, but you.

What a great story David, although I'm so sorry your dad took the guitar away when you were younger. Who knows what might have been...

Boakesey, indeed. I have spent many hours through my life wondering what the outcome would have been if dad had actually encouraged me. It is what it is, though. At least I get vicarious joy in the presence of the much revered Davy Knowles.
